Because of the strides of Billie Holiday, Josephine Baker, Eartha Kitt, James Baldwin and so many more, founder and owner, Teri Johnson, is able to produce and represent Harlem in such a sophisticated way through her luxury candle brand, the Harlem Candle Company.

Teri Johnson had the vision to not only come up with a candle company but one that captivates iconic figures in moments of time, storytelling each fragrance and matching it to a name to their time in Harlem. During our conversation, we spoke with Teri about traveling, her Texas beginnings, elegance and culture, future aspirations, and more.
