People would slip into hidden clubs, tucked behind storefronts. The thrill of the forbidden was unmatched—embodied by sensual flavors of vanilla and dark chocolate. The simple nod of a doorman would whisk you away to an unfamiliar world: dark, loud, pulsing with excitement. Auras of palo santo and tobacco swirled the gambling tables where men rotated between cocktails and cigars. On the dance floor, perfumes of swaying women infused the air, creating a sweet elixir of licorice and plum blossom.

Coffee Flower adds a spicy nuance, and a warm, addictive base of Coconut Milk, Sandalwood and Vetiver provide the perfect finish to this intoxicating blend that is vibrant and full bodied, yet graceful and delicate. Our Josephine candle is inspired by Josephine Baker, the legendary chanteuse and entertainer, beloved for her creative, sensual style and dynamic, and ground-breaking performances.

From Harlem’s hottest jazz clubs to Broadway to the Follies-Bergère in Paris, “The Bronze Goddess” made a sensational impact, captured perfectly in this opulent luxurious scent. A bright citrus opening of vibrant bergamot blends magnificently with an emotional heart of lush Moroccan Rose and Indian Jasmine, while a velvet background of warm liquid amber, sweet Tonka bean and precious sandalwood provides a beautiful finish as exquisite as Josephine herself.

The Langston candle celebrates elements of the jazz poet’s creative vision with fragrance accords reflecting some of the strong symbols in his life….
