Harlem Candle Company
"Langston" luxury travel candle 4 oz
The Langston candle celebrates elements of the jazz poet’s creative vision with fragrance accords reflecting some of the strong symbols in his life….
The worn vintage leather of his favorite armchair, aromatic tobacco laced with a hint of clove and vanilla from the pipes of the neighborhood men, and the smell of ambery incense that recalls his many visits to churches in Mexico.
A dramatic heart of heady jasmine and a warm background of resinous sandalwood round out this deeply personal blend that perfectly evokes Langston Hughes, a true Renaissance man.
Middle: Jasmine, Cade
Base: Vanilla, Sandalwood, Amber
Okay, one, this candle smells like someone’s grandfather’s office and their grandfather is in a leather chair smoking a pipe. I don’t know how Harlem Candle Company did it, but it smells just like that and it’s amazing. It must be witchcraft. Two, the fragrance is easily the longest lasting fragrance I’ve ever smelled in my life. I burned the travel candle for a couple of hours yesterday and I STILL smell it like 18 hours later. Note: this is NOT a bad thing (in my humble opinion) because it smells fantastic. It’s not too sweet. It smells more like sweet tobacco, leather, and jasmine. I don’t say this often because sweet smells make me nauseous easily, but the vanilla is the perfect base. It ties everything together without being overbearing. This candle is *chef’s kiss*
This candle is soft and soothing. Very jazzy..
This candle smells so good and nostalgic to me that I sigh and talk to myself every time I take in a whiff. It smells unbelievablably wonderful. That sounds really silly but it seriously floods me with pipe tobacco and the aura of masculinity in the best possible way. I loveeee it and can't wait to get the full size.
The candle was very strongly scented and filled my whole room. I loved the scents used in the candle. It created a very sweet, cozy feeling. I will be purchasing again.
